July 1st til today

I had an amazing 24th Birthday with my hubby. Going to dinner and a movie. Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon was a great movie. Better than the first and second put together.

July 4th, 2011

Steven, Athena, and I hung out at the house most of the day since New Bern doesn't have a parade like back home in Peachtree City, Ga. So I was bummed but wanting to celebrate such a great holiday somehow. They did have some festivaties in downtown by the water but passing by it was packed and way too hot to get out. Plus most of all the things there were way to old for Athena to be able to do anyways, so we decided to go back home. Steven and I debated on taking Athena to see fireworks or just waiting until next year because no one wants a screaming child.

So we came to the conclusion that we wont know how she will react unless we try. If she screamed we would just leave. So we met some friends up there waiting for the fireworks. (LOTS OF PICTURES!)

Athena's First taste of a Funnel Cake (thanks Mrs. Tammy)

Athena, Cora and Mrs. Tammy (Athena's adopted grandma)

Steven doing a "CHEESE" face! LOL

Athena and Cora sharing pieces of Funnel Cake (they are great friends)

Krista and Athena (Krista is Cora's Mom)

Krista with both babies on her lap (Cora got jealous! LOL)

Me and My beautiful baby smiling (she is finally starting to smile at the camera sometimes)

So we had fun before the fireworks started. The Marine Corps band was there playing some numbers which was great in the back ground. But when it actually came time to watch the fireworks, IT WAS HORRIBLE! They didn't shoot them off from where they usually do so where everyone was sitting on the grass area was blocked by a few buildings and trees that everyone had to move to see them. Cora started to cry when they started, but surprising Athena jumped a little when the first one went off so I scooped her up and sat her on my lap and she was fine. No crying at all. But since we really couldn't see them and Cora crying we all just decided we would go home. So it was a bummer on fireworks but we had fun talking and visiting with our "North Carolina Family" as we would call them.

July 9th, 2011

It was Tammy's birthday (Krista's mom, Cora's Grandma) so we went over to celebrate. Krista had purchased a small bounce house for a great deal. We need to patch up a few places that are worn out but its good. All the kids do is sit in it anyways. lol. Well Cora doesn't really like it she just cried. LOL. But also had the kiddie pool set up so we stripped Athena down and put on her little swimmer and let her get in the water.

A great picture of Steven and Athena

I really LOVE this one! They were coming at me when I was taking the picture

(Also Athena's adopted grandpa)

It was a great time for all we had ice cream cake (Athena did too) and went home and crashed out from all the excitment. We always have great time with friends and "Adopted Family"

Future Events going on: Saturday July 16th, 2011 Krista and I are throwing our great friend a "BABY SHOWER" we are both super excited. Its her first baby girl (she has 2 boys already)!

Then the week of the 25th my inlaws are coming up to visit (Steven's mom, dad, & crazy sister Sarah) lol. so it will be great to spend about 4 days with them. So keep checking back. Lots going on!

Back Home

We have been back home for a little bit more than a week but things have been crazy trying to get back into the swing of things with Athena. She def misses everyone making her the center of the world lol.

Athena and her Great Uncle Steve getting ready to go to the LAKE!!!

Athena in a blow up raft looking for FISHIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least I got a good picture of her smiling before she didn't want to be in there anymore. So we got her out and she just started to kick her legs and splash her hands in the water. YAY I have a water baby!!!!

It was great at the lake that she liked it so much but getting home and trying to give her a bath was not fun AT ALL! We were still trying to use her tub a few more times before she got too long for it but after we got home and I tried to give her a bath we found out really fast that was no longer going to work. She wanted to kick and splash around so the next bath was actually in the tub with a little water. She had a blast kicking and splashing the water again just like she was back at the lake. It was so cute to watch but couldn't take pictures there was water flying everywhere. LOL.

A few days ago we got a package in the mail from Great Grandma Barb that had Minnie Mouse things. She loves to chewing on Minnie's ear. lol. There was also a bathing suit which was so cute, and a tote bag. She really enjoyed her presents!

So this afternoon (June 20th, 2011) when Athena should have been taking a nap! We all of a sudden hear her starting to cry and thought she might have wrapped herself up in the blanket so I went in to clam her down and see what was going on and when I walk into the room I find her like this:

So I nearly gave Steven a heart attack when I all of a sudden yelled for him to come quick. Which was just so he could see that she was standing in her crib all by herself! I didn't know if she would fall so I needed him there quick, but now I kind of think I prob should have said everything is ok but I need you to see this quick. lol. He will be ok!

So now we have realized we are going to have to lower her bed! Don't want her to end up on the floor one morning. Plus that she is prob going to be walking way before she is 1! She has been pulling up on Steven and me all day, I just didn't think that she would stand in her crib and yell at us to come get her! ROFL!

The Royal Wedding 2!

We left New Bern, NC on Wed June 1st, 2011 to go to Peachtree City, GA to visit my family and get ready for my cousin Jeanine's Wedding to Joshua Moore. All day Thursday I was "Betty Crocker" baking 121 cupcakes for Jeanine's Reheasal Dinner dessert. I made it with team colors and 6 different flavors. One per each team. (Auburn, U of Miami, LSU, Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech) I was up all night long it was crazy. lol

Friday we packed back into the car to go to Lake Martin, AL. (Only a 2 hour drive). Got to relax for a while and Steven and I went swimming. Then had to work our booties off to ice and get the cupcakes out to the cupcake stand I had made. After alot of work we were actually able to enjoy the party and the great food from Osker's (we are still eatting leftovers. lol) Drove to the Hotel that was 2 mins away from the most beautiful Manison to have a wedding at I have ever seen. The Fountain View Mansion of Auburn, AL.

Saturday June 4, 2011 FINALLY THE WEDDING DAY!!!!!
Athena was not in a good mood, she was teething and not feeling good at all. So she didn't sleep at all and we had to take her to have someone watch her while we were at the wedding. I felt so bad having to give my cranky child to someone else. But she did great and actually finally slept. YAY! The wedding was amazing and the bride was stunning like always.

Jeanine Cipullo (Moore)

The food was pretty good too and Steven and I actually danced for the first time together which was really nice. Since we didn't have a wedding we never got a first dance. Bummer I know but it is alright. lol.

Now we are relaxing at the lake which is always fun and peaceful! Heading back to Peachtree City, Ga on Wed morning.
